Board Chair
The role of the Board Chair is to ensure the integrity of the Board’s process. The Board Chair shall be a graduated member of the Fleming SAC within the past two academic years. The Board Chair shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board and Executive are carried into effect. The Board Chair shall provide leadership to the Board for the advancement and promotion of the objectives of the Fleming SAC and ensure that the Board of Directors participates fully in meetings, decisions, and actions of the Board. The Board Chair shall fulfil and perform those duties as may be required or necessary to achieve the purposes or objectives of the Fleming SAC.
Fleming SAC is now accepting applications for the position of Board Chair for the 2024 -2025 academic year. This position will advocate the needs of Fleming Students and lead the Board of Directors for Fleming SAC. This position will provide leadership to the Board of Directors and govern the organization through written policy and direction. The President must be a graduated member of Fleming College Sutherland Campus

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated interest in student leadership.
• Must be a graduate of Fleming College, Sutherland Campus within the past 2
academic years.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including sensitivity, patience and an ability to respond
effectively to meet the individual needs of a wide range of students.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as individually.
• Effective time management skills
• Reliable and dependable
• Confidentiality is required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sit on committees as required.
• Ensure effective communication between Fleming SAC Board and the Fleming
College community
• Required to be professional as an official representative of Fleming SAC.
• Provide support to students through the Academic Appeals process
• Attends all full board, general and special meetings of Fleming SAC.
• Maintain and update documentation for historical purposes.
• Participate in and complete all training (board orientation, workplace discrimination
and violence prevention, health and safety, conflict/dispute resolution, mental health
awareness, WHMIS, AODA etc.
•Understand and be in compliance with the Fleming SAC bylaws, policies and
procedures, the Corporations Act, Human Rights Legislation and all applicable laws,
as well as all Fleming College rules, regulations, statements and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Job Description
Graphics Intern
The Communications & Marketing Intern is responsible to assist in the development of creative executions for mobile/web applications, print/digital marketing collateral and social media/content marketing assets, as well as, assisting with photography and video needed to support other staff. The Intern will work within the established policies of S.A.C. relative to privacy, social media and Communications for S.A.C. Hours are flexible and require hours to be worked in our on-campus office in addition to the ability to work remotely part of the time.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• High attention to detail
• Meticulously organized and task driven
• Friendly and personable with exceptional customer service abilities
• Detail oriented with an eye for graphic branding standards
• Strong time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Communications & Marketing
o Update all bulletin boards around the campus on an ongoing basis.
o Update and maintain the Screenfluence system.
o Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications.
o Liaise with students as ambassador for Fleming SAC and the Steele Centre at events.
• Social Media
o Assist in planning, writing, and managing social media posts.
o Update and maintain Fleming SAC social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling and reporting updates.
• Graphic Design
o Design event/program fliers, graphics, and other marketing material for digital and print marketing.
o Edit and format photos and videos for social media and commercial use.
o Create online advertisements as needed.
o Organize and manage digital assets.
