Director of Campus

(Sutherland, Cobourg & McRae)

The incumbent is responsible to the Vice-President of Student Affairs and for maintaining effective communication with the elected Student Representatives, Student Representative Chairs, and the Student Body.

Specific Responsibilities:

1.         To attend all Executive, General and Extra-ordinary (Leadership Development etc.) meetings.

2.         To represent the student interests to Board of Directors for the purpose of exchanging thoughts, ideas and concerns and thus maintaining effective communication between the Board of Directors and the Student Body.

3.         To recruit the required number Student Representatives from each "school", and to submit electronic and hard copy of the names to the Minutes Secretary.

4.         To chair the monthly meeting of the Student Representative Chairs to discuss topics for the General Meetings, the agenda for the "school" Committee Meetings and topics of interest to the group.  Report on these discussions at the next Board Meeting.

5.         To meet bi-weekly with the Vice President of Student Affairs.

6.         To attend committee meetings as delegated by the Vice President Student Affairs upon approval of the Board of Directors.

7.         To assist the Director of Programming in the organization, running, and/or clean-up of all social events as required.

8.         To assist with the organization and operation of the Used Book Sale, Orientation, other SAC activities and Charity Fundraising in which the Board of Directors agree to participate.

9.              To assist the Director of Communication by giving pertinent information for the purpose of updating the World Wide Web page.

10.              To have above working knowledge of the Student Rights and Responsibilities.

11.              To have above working knowledge of the Constitution.

12.       To liaise with "school" Advisors (Coordinators) in recruiting Student Representatives.

13.       To be responsible for filing and maintaining "school" committee meeting minutes.

14.       To assist and administer K.P.I’s to the best of their ability in the fall and winter semester.
